Early today, the Sprint Company officially pushed out a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its Samsung Galaxy Mega device. So, all the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Mega owners should keep an eye on the device’s notification panel area.

The new update is not a big change for the device, because its previous versions have been included features such as transparent bar, status and nav, cloud printing, white status bar icons, full screen album art directly on the lock screen, Samsung native applications, TouchWiz UI enhancements and more. This recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat update comes with some minor changes such as HD Voice Icon Support, International WiFi calling and Google Security patches.

It’s also comes for Samsung Galaxy Mega labeled L600VPUBNI3 and is expected to be available in phases. This thing means that some of Galaxy Mega device’s owners might not be able to automatically download and install it in the same time.

As you probably think that the new firmware update is released such as an OTA update it should be able such as an automatically update message in the notification menu. All that you need to do is to follow on-screen instructions. In case the new Android 4.4.2 OS failed to be displayed on the device’s notification area then you can perform a manual check under Settings > More > System update > Update now or alternatively you can check for it by using the KIES application.

Keep in mind that the new update is expected to has more than 200 MB in size and for installing the same we are recommending to use a WiFi network in order to avoid unwanted data charges from your mobile network provider.
