Sprint Updates LG G2 With Knock Code

The Sprint carrier started to roll out an update for its LG G2 variant. As usual, the update starts rolling out in stages and may take some days for the roll out to reach all LG G2 users from Sprint. The software version is ZVD, and one of the biggest features that it adds to the LG G2 is Knock Code. This feature will allow users to access all their content by simply tapping on the screen a chosen combination between two and eight steps long.

Sprint’s latest firmware update for the LG G2 smartphones also includes improvements for group messaging, a Google Patch and other bug fixes and stability improvements. Furthermore, users will receive with this update updated email signature and also an HD Voice Icon.

As already mentioned, the firmware is going to be rolled out in phases, and the rollout may take some days to complete. The roll out of ZVD software will be only for devices that are running stock Android OS, meaning that it will not be pushed for custom ROM devices.

So, once it goes live in your region, you should receive a system notification on your LG G2 device informing you that an OTA update is available for download.

You can also check for the update manually under Apps->> Settings ->> System updates ->> Update LG software -> Check now.

In the case when the new software build is available for your device you just need to confirm the download and then install, and your LG G2 device will begin the update automatically.

We advise you to use a stable Wi-Fi connection and check if your LG G2 device is fully charged.

The new Android software update released by Sprint can be also flashed manually using the LG PC companion app, installed on a PC connecting your LG G2 with the PC via USB cable.
