Update Galaxy Note 3 LTE N9005 with official Android 4.3 XXUDMJ7 Jelly Bean firmware

The Galaxy Note 3 LTE device received a new update named N9005XXUDMJ7 firmware by Over-The-Air (OTA) rolled out by Samsung.

This present guide present you a manually method about how manually install this latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean N9005XXUDMJ7 on Galaxy Note 3 LTE device.

Prerequisites:

How manually install Android 4.3 XXUDMJ7 OTA Update to Galaxy Note 3 N9005 LTE:

  1. Download Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XXUDMJ7 OTA firmware zip file from here and save it to the PC.
  2. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file and you’ll get a file with “.tar.md5 extension, save the file on your desktop. Do not extract any further than that.
  3. Now, download the ODIN 3 application from here, save it to PC and extract the zip content of ODIN file.
  4. Turn off the Galaxy Note 3 LTE device now.
  5. Boot the device into Download Mode, to do this press and keep holding the Volume Down, Home and Power button simultaneously and release the buttons when the Warning message will be displayed, then press Volume Up to confirm that you want to boot the device into Download Mode.
  6. Open the Odin3 v3.07.exe file on your PC.
  7. Connect the Galaxy Note 3 LTE to the PC via USB data cable.
  8. Now, wait for ODIN to recognize the Note 3 device. Note: if the Galaxy Note 3 device is not detected, then you need to re-install the Samsung USB drivers once again.
  9. Click the PDA button from ODIN application.
  10. Now, find the extracted “tar.md5? file extracted previously and load it into ODIN.
  11. Ensure that Re-Partition option from ODIN is disabled.
  12. Do not make any other default ODIN settings.
  13. Now, click the Start button from ODIN when you want to begin the flashing process.
  14. Just wait without press any other buttons until the flashing process will be completed.
  15. When the installation process is done, and the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XXUDMJ7 is complete flashed, the ODIN application will display the ‘PASS’ message and the Galaxy Note 3 device will get and automatically reboot.
  16. Disconnect the Note 3 device from computer by removing its USB cable.
  17. Now, wait for it to boot into normal mode.
  18. Take the full control over the device and you can now start testing the new Operating System’s function and its all features.

Troubleshooting:

This action will wipe all the data stored into internal device’s memory and the phone’s system partition, but the Note 3 phone will be forced to boot into normal mode. Here’s how to do these actions:

  1. Turn off the smartphone by removing its battery.
  2. Make sure that the smartphone device is not connected with your computer.
  3. Now, after seven seconds have passed reinsert the battery on its location.
  4. Boot the Android device (Galaxy Note 3 LTE) into Stock Recovery Mode.
  5. To do this press and keep holding the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons at the same time until the Recovery Mode screen will be displayed.
  6. From the Recovery Mode menu, select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ and confirm the wipe action.
  7. When the wipe data and factory reset process is done, reboot the Note 3 LTE device in normal mode.
