Update Galaxy S2 I9100 to Android 4.3 via CyanFox custom ROM Firmware

How to Install Android 4.3 based CyanFox custom ROM Firmware on Galaxy S2 I9100

  1. Download the Android 4.3 based CyanFox software from here and save it in your PC, do not unzip it.
  2. Download the Google App pack from here , save it in your PC without unzip the same.
  3. Now, connect the Galaxy S2 device with the PC via USB cable.
  4. Next, move the downloaded files from PC to the smartphone’s SD card.
  5. After the downloaded both files are completely transferred to the phone, disconnect the smartphone from computer by removing its USB cable.
  6. Turn of the Galaxy S2 device.
  7. Boot it in recovery mode.
  8. From the recovery mode select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”. Also, select “advance” and then “wipe dalvick cache”.
  9. Now, return to the main recovery mode by selecting”+++go back+++”.
  10. From the recovery mode select now “install zip from SD card” followed by “choose zip from SD card”.
  11.  Now, select the CyanFox firmware file and flash it.
  12. Then, in the same manner select the transferred Google Apps pack and flash it.
  13. Wait while the update process is totally done.
  14.  When the flashing process is completed select “+++go back+++” and then “reboot system now”.

Troubleshooting:

  1. First, enter into Recovery Mode once again.
  2. Second, select only the “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
  3. Return to the main menu of recovery mode and select “reboot system now”.

Note: the first boot after you’ve flashed the new custom ROM will take longer than usually. You need to be calm and to wait; there is nothing wrong with the smartphone.
