How To Update Galaxy S4 Mini LTE to Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat XXUCNF9

Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Galaxy S4 Mini I9195

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini model number I9195 has new Android 4.4.2 OS. We are going to show you how to install the new official firmware tar.md5 file manually.

 

The new firmware update brings numerous enhancements for the UI interface, such as  new white status bar icons, new lock screen enhancements, improved multi-window and multi-tasking, TouchWiz  and improved battery life.

We will use ODIN software and the official tar.md5 file of the new XXUCNF9 android 4.4.2 KitKat version of the OS.

If you already used the ODIN software,  you know that this application will connect the device with the PC and then the user should simply load the file, send it to your Samsung Galaxy S4 mini LTE device.

If you want to flash this new official ROM on your Samsung S4 device, follow some prerequisites:

 How To Update Galaxy S4 mini LTE I9195 with Android 4.4.2 XXUCNF9 KitKat:

  1. Download the Android 4.4.2 I9195XXUCNF9 zip file from here and extract it to obtain the I9195XXUCNF9 tar.md5 file.
  2. Don’t extract any other file.
  3. Download ODIN v3.09 application from here,  save it on your PC, unzip the file.
  4. Turn off the device.
  5. Boot the device into Download Mode.
  6. Open the ODIN exe file on your computer.
  7. Connect the device with the PC by using the USB Cable.
  8. Wait until the device is recognized by ODIN. If the device isn’t detected then you have to re-install the Samsung USB Drivers.
  9. Now, click on the “AP” button on the ODIN app’s UI, find the I9195XXUCNF9 tar.md5 file, load this file on ODIN.
  10. Ensure that the “Re-Partition” button is disabled, do not edit any other Odin settings.
  11. Now, press the Start button and wait until the ODIN software installs the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat on your S4 Mini LTE.
  12. The flashing process of the new official OS will take some time, don’t press any other button during the process.
  13. Disconnect the device when the ODIN app displays the “PASS” message and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE take a reboot in normal mode
  14. Now, log in with your account info.
