Update Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 T311 to official Android 4.2.2 JB XWUAMH1 Firmware

  1. Download and install the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 drivers on your PC, for that you can use Samsung KIES application. ( this step can be skipped if the USB drivers are already installed on your PC)
  2. Download the Android 4.2.2 JB XWUAMH1 Firmware for Galaxy Tab 3 file from here , and save it on your PC.
  3. Unzip the downloaded update file on PC’s desktop folder.
  4. Download Odin, save it in your PC, unzip it and install the same.
  5. Run ODIN app on your PC.

  11. Next, from ODIN app’s interface, select the PDA option.
  12. Browse for the extracted firmware file and pick it from the desktop folder.
  13. Make sure that the re-partition and f.reset time options are not checked.
  14.  Next, make sure you’ve successfully follow all the steps.
  15. Click on “Start” button from ODIN.
  16.  Now, wait while the new Android 4.2.2 JB firmware named XWUAMH1 version is being flashed on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 model number T311
  17. The installation process is done when the “PASS” messages will be displayed on ODIN app’s interface and the ID:COM area will turn green.
  18. Now, you can disconnect the tablet from the PC.
  19. Reboot the device.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Force booting into recovery mode
  2. From Recovery Mode select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
  3. Return into main Recovery Mode menu.
  4. Select” reboot system now”

  2. Force restarts the device.
  3. Reinstall the USB drivers once again
  4. Repeat the update process from the beginning.
