You will learn how to install the new CM 11 Nightly custom ROM based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware for the International variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE edition.

Pre-requisites:
- This process works only with the international variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE model number N9005. Do not try to use the same for any other device model.
- The instructional step by step guide works only with the rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE device.
- The guide works with the the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE device has installed the Custom Recovery Image such as CWM or TWRP recovery image.
- Take the backup of your data stored on the device’s internal memory and create a full NANDROID ROM backup for the actual installed Operating System.
- This Nandroid backup represents a restore point for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE device, in case, something wrong goes, or you won’t like the new custom ROM. The Nandroid backup step will listed in the instructional guide below will help you restore to initial position.
- Apply a Factory Reset step; this step will be listed in the guide too.
- Note that, the Factory Reset step will wipe all data stored on the Note 3 LTE device’s system partition, the data stored into internal/external storage will not be affected by the flashing process.
- To take a full backup for your data, you need to save all installed applications, SMS, APN Internet Settings, Call Logs History using the suitable application such as Helium for installed applications, SMS backup and restore for your SMS, APN Settings Backup and Restore for the APN Internet Settings. Note: Root access is required for these applications.

- Next, enable the USB Debugging Mode from Developer Options.

How to install the CM 11 Nightly custom ROM based on Android 4.4 for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE N9005:
- First, download the latest CM 11 Nightly custom ROM file from here.
- Second, download the Gapps file for Android 4.4.2 from here.
- Now, connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE N9005 device to your computer.
- Move (Copy/Paste) both downloaded zip files to the device’s internal storage, do not unzip the contents of these two files.
- Once, the transfer process of the files is complete, you can disconnect the Note device from PC by removing the USB cable.
- Turn off the device now.
- Next, boot the device into custom Recovery Mode, you can use the next link for doing that.
- Now, create a NANDROID Backup by selecting the ‘backup and restore’ option, name the file and confirm your action.
- Apply the Factory Reset action by selecting the ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ and confirm this process.
- Now, flash the latest CM 11 Nightly ROM on the Note 3 LTE device by selecting the ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’, browse for the copied ROM file and confirm its installation.
- Once the new custom ROM is installed, you need repeat the above step to install the Gapps zip file too.
- Once both files are completely installed, you need to return the device into main Custom Recovery Menu, and from there reboot the smartphone in normal mode.
- The first boot process will take a while before the device will load all the new files.
- Now, enter your Google Account details.
