After Sony Mobile started to distribute OTA the 15.4.A.1.9 firmware update designed for Xperia M(C190X) devices, now it is the turn of the Xperia M dual-SIM (C200X) to receive an update. The latest available software for Xperia M dual-SIM devices was the build number 15.5.A.0.18, and now the new update is the build number 15.5.A.1.5, being the second update made to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Xperia M dual -SIM handset.
The new firmware build 15.5.A.1.5 brings, according to sony mobile website, enhanced user experience, extended battery life and software performance enhancements.
Users of Xperia M dual-SIM handsets will be happy to know that with the new iteration their devices will support now Xperia Themes.
This update will be pushed out over-the-air to devices, and we should remind you that once your Xperia M dual-SIM handset is suitable for receiving the new software update you will get an automatic system message in the notification area, tap on it, select download and follow the on-screen instructions.
As usual the update is sent to users in stages, and not all users will be ready to bring up to date their devices in the same time.
You can check for available updates manually under Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates.
If a software update is available for your dual-SIM Xperia M device, is recommended to use a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to avoid data traffic.
Note that in order to update your device wirelessly you will need the newest version of the Update Centre app, for that go to the Update Centre -> Updates tab and install the available update.
After you updated the Update Centre application, you will be ready to update your handset software wirelessly.
