Yahoo recently announced that its Mail mobile app for Android is ready to roll with a new design and several tweaks and improvements for users in India.
Mail, News, and Today are the options included by the updated Yahoo Mail app for Android in a new panel. From the Mail area you can see the usual Yahoo Mail inbox, the News panel will show a new-customized news stream while the Today panel shows weather, stock quotes, sports updates, news digest and more, much like Google Now. You do not have to tap on icons to open Inbox, News or Today anymore, now you can swipe left or right and move between them.
A major tweak to the Yahoo Mail is a smart search feature, apart from giving you “smart suggestions” for people or messages, the app will filter the results showing you by different sections like messages, files or photos, and you can scroll through the results to find what you are interested in.
Plus, the app comes updated with several small improvements and some bug fixes.
Yahoo Mail app for Android is available for download via Google Play Store. The application requires Android 2.3 or newer.
