Google has already shown us Android L, the newest version of Android. Now, many users do not know if their terminals will be upgraded to Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Well, Sony has released an update to Android 4.4.4 KitKat for its Xperia Z1 Compact devices. The new firmware is the build number 14.4.A.0.108, and has been released for users of Xperia Z1 Compact devices from Italy, Russia and Indonesia and expected to hit the devices from all regions. The availability of an update as always depend on the market and carrier.
As usual, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Sony Xperia Z1 Compact devices will be pushed out in stages, meaning that not all users will be able to see it right away.
However, once your Xperia Z1 Compact handset will be eligible to receive a new update you will be prompted by your device with an automatic system message in the notification bar. All you need to do is tap on the message and then follow the instructions appeared on the screen.
You can also check for the availability of the 14.4.A.0.108 update for your device by navigating under Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> System updates.
Since Sony did not provided a changelog for the Android 4.4.4 build number 14.4.A.0.108 so we cannot tell you what to expect from it but if you have downloaded the update let us know what you have notice below in our comments section.
The same 14.4.A.0.108 build version was certified by PTCRB and will also be available for the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra, but at the present moment, for this devices has not begun to be distributed.
