Install Paranoid Android 3 Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S3

A new refreshed Paranoid Android Custom ROM is available for the Samsung Galaxy S3 device which is known as the Paranoid Android 3 Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware. Read this article as we have brought to you a guide to know how to update the Samsung Galaxy S3 model number I9300, the International variant device with this new custom ROM, which brings new features in the UI and a new set of themes customizations.

How to update the Paranoid Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 –

  1.  First of all, you have to download the Paranoid Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean AOSPA 3+ custom ROM file from HERE. After the download completes, save this file on your computer and don’t extract its content. Also, the updating file is available on the next address from here.
  2. Then, you have to download the Gapps from HERE, save the Gapps for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROMs without to unzip its content.
  3. Download the NFC fixed pack from here. Flash the EFC zips after you install Gapps only if you have problems with NFC functions,
  4. Now, connect the S3 device to your PC using the USB cable.
  5. Move the downloaded files on your device’ internal SDcard memory. (Don’t extract any of these files, just copy and paste from the PC to internal SDcard memory.
  6. Disconnect the device from computer after the files are successfully copied.
  7. Power off the Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300.
  8. Now, boot your S3 smartphone into the CWM Recovery mode. To do that you need to press simultaneously the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons.
  9. Create a Nandroid Back-up for your actual ROM, for doing that select the ‘back-up and restore’ option from the CWM Recovery mode
  10. Now from the CWM Recovery mode, select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option and confirm to do this. NOTE: If you have already run on your S3 device, a previous Paranoid Android JB custom ROM, and you can’t perform a ‘wipe data/ factory reset’, in that case you can skip this step.
  11. Now, from CWM Recovery mode select the ‘install zip from SDcard’ and select the  ‘choose zip from SDcard’ option and after that find the PA I9300 ROM zip file and confirm you want to install it
  12. From the CWM Recovery mode select once again ‘choose zip from SDcard’ and search and flash the Gapps zip file and flash it. Note: If you receive any error from Gapps, you can flash the NFC file downloaded in the step 3.
  13. Now reboot your device from the main Recovery menu. To do that select ‘reboot system now’ when all files have been successfully installed on your S3 device.
  14. Now, wait until the S3 device will boot in the normal mode.
