Samsung Galaxy S5 Firmware Now Available For Download

In only about three weeks, the long awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 go on sale global in 150 countries, heading the introduction of Samsung’s fifth-generation Galaxy S flagship in perhaps the greatest smartphone launch at all times.
It seems that the South Korean company is making the required preparations for the great day, as the primary official firmware for the Galaxy S5 device is available online.
The firmware is now for the Chinese version of the SM-G9009D that is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and with a build date of March 12. In the following days, firmware for more countries should be arriving up online, and probably advanced users will be getting a look inside to pull out goodies like ringtones, wallpapers, system apps and others from the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 firmware (and firmware for all different Samsung devices) can be downloaded from the firmware section on sammobile website.
Instructions:

  • First, after you have downloaded the file extract it.
  • Next, Download Odin v3.09 application, save it in your computer and extract the same.
  • Run Odin v3.09.exe file
  • Now, reboot the smartphone into Download Mode by pressing and keep holding the Home, Power and Volume Down buttons.
  • By using the USB cable connect the device to the PC and ensure that the ODIN app will display a blue sign.
  • Click the AP/PDA button in ODIN and add the firmware file.
  • Ensure that the re-partition is NOT ticked.
  • From ODIN software click the start button and wait until the file is flashed.
