Update Galaxy S2 I9100G with Jellybean 4.2 Cyanogen Mod Firmware

Samsung Galaxy S II GT I9100G device has received a custom ROM firmware based on Jellybean 4.2. This custom ROM is not an official firmware update of Jellybean 4.2.  For Samsung Galalxy S2 GT I9100G release.

How to Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with Jellybean 4.2 Firmware

  1.  First, download the the Jellybean 4.2 Firmware Package and save it in your PC.
  2. Second,, download the Jellybean 4.2 Firmware Package and save it in your computer.
  3. Connect the smartphone to the PC using the original USB cable.
  4. Copy and Paste the two downloaded files in your smartphone.
  5. Now disconnect your smartphone from the PC and then download the “ROM Manager” from the Google Play Store.
  6. Open the application and grant the Superuser access, for that you need to select on the “Grant” option.
  7. Boot your smartphone in the recovery mode.For that you need from the ROM Manager app, select “Enter into Recovery Mode”, or you can enter in the Recovery mode using manual method. f For this,  power off your device and press and hold in the same time the Volume Up button + the Home key button located in the middle. , , Select “Wipe data/factory reset” and  “Wipe Cache partition”.Note: if your smartphone boot in normal mode, you will need to retry to enter the smartphone in the Recovery Mode.
  8. Select the “install zip from sd card” then find and chose the copied Cyanogen Mod 10 Jellybean 4.2 Zip Package and then Google Apps Package, wait around 5 minutes for installing the update, sometimes can take more than expect time for update the firmware.
  9. After the firmware was successfully installed, select “go back”and there “reboot system now”.
  10. Verify if the firmware was installed or not following the path “Settings > About Phone” and there examine the firmware version.
