After Xperia Z3 smartphone has been unveiled, many users were already looking for the new launcher developed by Sony, which seems to get closer to Google’s stock Launcher, with a much more clean and sober look than previous versions.
Surely, once you will use the Xperia Z3 Launcher you will notice the larger icons, a similarity to the Google Now Launcher and the new navigation keys taken from the Android L and overall there is a softer customization than in the past.
Now, thanks to Sahaab’s work, a developer from XDA community, that has already ported the launcher, is available for most of the Xperia smartphones running Android 4.2 or higher.
For those who would like to apply the launcher, the official thread shows two different versions, the first should work on all Xperia smartphones without root permissions enabled, but some widgets may not be supported completely, the transparency of the UI and the navigation bar for previous versions of Android.
The second version is for devices with root permissions, with full support for widgets and user interface.
To install the new Xperia Z3 Launcher on your Xperia device, it is sufficient to download the file from here, which contains both versions and install the APK, just like any other APK, remembering to perform a wipe data for the home launcher prior to the initiation, to be sure that it works perfectly.
