Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE

Good news for Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE tablet’s owners, Samsung rolled out the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OTA update.

To see if the new update is available for your region, check your Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE tablet’s System Updates menu and see if there is any update available. The new firmware is namely XXCMG7 firmware and is starting to be pushed out in stages. The first country to receive the new official Android 4.2.2 OS for Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE is United Kingdom

If your device didn’t receive the latest automatically OTA notification then you should verify this update via KIES app, so connect your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE model number N5120 to your PC, open the Samsung KIES app and verify if there is any new update available for your device. The Samsung Kies app will work also with rooted tablets too. If you have a custom ROM firmware installed on your device, in this case isn’t possible to use Samsung Kies app to update the official one update.

Also, you need to know that, in case you use a rooted device and want to install  stock firmware using OTA or KIES methods, then the root access rights will be removed, but an advantage is that your device’s warranty will be revoked.
