Good news for all Samsung Galaxy S3 owners, the biggest Korean phone maker just released a new update for this device named Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 were running the Android 4.1.2 update out of the box, and as you probably know that, Samsung decided to skip the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for these two models to release directly Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for theme.
The new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware comes with almost all features that Samsung was integrated a half year ago by the Galaxy S4 device. So, there you’ll find new UI improvements, new applications, bug fixes and speed enhancements.
Unfortunately, Samsung didn’t release an official change log for the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that is pushed out for Samsung Galaxy S3 device, but the guys from Sammobile website had published a great list with the new improvements and changes. So, according to Sammobile the new firmware brings Galaxy Gear support, TRIM and ANT support, and the UI elements from the Samsung Galaxy S4. Moreover, the update comes with the new Samsung Keyboard, Daydream, Adapt Display, Professional Photo, Actionable Notifications, widgets for the device’s Lock screen and more.
The new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S3 device will be pushed out by OTA (Over the Air). As you probably know that, the new update will be rolled out in stages, so if you’re an owner for a Galaxy S3 device and didn’t receive an automatically notification yet, then you should wait a few more days.
The new firmware update can also be verified if is available or not for your device by manually verifying that from the next path: Settings>About Phone>Software update and from there tap the check for updates button or connect the device to PC using the USB cord and verify with KIES application if there is a new software update available for your S3 device.
In conclusion, after you update your Galaxy S3 device to the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware you will get the new and improved Samsung applications such as Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Calculator, Music, S Voice application and more.
