Today, one of the most popular Android based device Samsung Galaxy S4 version number i9295 receives the officially Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. The new firmware is released by using the OTA (Over-the-Air) channel. For now the new update is available starting with Netherlands, but other countries will receive it soon.

The new update is now available a month later than the AT&T Galaxy S4 Active Android 4.4.2 KitKat update rolled out.

As you probably know that the Samsung Galaxy S4 device is the water prof version of the Galaxy S4, the smartphone is now quite popular for the Android users, and that means that the KitKat firmware is highly expected by its users.

So, if your Active Galaxy S4 device is a rooted one or have a custom ROM, then you will need to manually install the OTA update.

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update is called XXUCNE5 and brings with numerous features such as white status bar icons, faster performance, a better battery life, full scree album art, wireless printing support, camera shortcut on the lock screen, new applications and capability. As you can see that this is a major Operating System improvement.

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat (XXUCNE5) update has been officially pushed out in Netherlands so the International version of Galaxy S4 Active will receive this firmware in phases.
