Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Be Released Later This Month

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

It seems that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is close enough. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was first announced in 2012 coming out of the box with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, being among the first devices with this version of Android.
On November last year the device received Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update after it was announced six months before, the owners being forced to wait quite a long time.
So now, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but this will change soon, an update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat is pretty close.  A few weeks ago it was announced by Samsung in U.S.and shortly by Samsung Poland.
At this point the Android 4.4.2 KitKat is expected since it has been confirmed by many carriers such as Samsung USA, Sprint in U.S, Samsung Poland, carriers in Australia, a French carrier and in Korea as shown in a reference for a model there.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 prides itself with very solid internal features such as a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, being able to support Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
Release dates of the update will be different as expected, but we would be surprised if they will not be available for all models of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 everywhere.

It appears that the implementation of the update will be in late April and May. The latest rumor suggests that Android 4.4.2 KitKat update release might be imminent given that a customer service representative suggested that Korea’s Samsung might take place in mid-April. What remains unconfirmed, but is in line with the schedule from several carriers. A few weeks ago Optus, an Australian operator, has announced its plans to launch an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Galaxy Note 2 devices in April. Recently, the French carrier SFR said it plans to roll out an update in May.
The update’s running could start any time now, but there is a distance between versions, as operators need to submit their own models of the corresponding test in the new update. Optus says it has not received an update from Samsung yet, as well as Vodafone Australia. This means that updating it is still weeks away.
Being an incremental update, Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will arrive with a few changes and enhancements out of the usual from KitKat such as immersive full-screen mode, cloud printing, white icons in the status bar, full-screen album art on lockscreen, color emoji support, better power management, and stronger security, the new firmware should come with TouchWiz UI tweaks, Samsung native applications updated, improved Samsung Keyboard, and other such changes.
