Android 4.4.2 KitKat update now available for Verizon HTC One Max device

Verizon HTC One Max device received Android 4.4.2 KitKat

The HTC’s Mo Versi reported that the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One Max from Verizon carrier is expected to be pushed out on Monday, now the new update is being pushed out for the specified device.

The new update is labeled 2.16.605.2 and it is specially rolled out for Verizon HTC One Max device via OTA. The update will be released in a stage, that’s meaning some of the Verizon HTC One Max device’s owners will be available to receive the update starting with today, but other users might wait for it. The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will be pushed out such an automatically update notification on the device’s system update notification panel. If you didn’t receive this automatically update then you should manually check for it under Settings>About phone> Software updates> Check Now patch.

The new update comes especially to improve the performances of the Verizon HTC One Max device with redesigned Location Settings menu that is developed for giving you a master switch that turns all location settings on or off, depending on how the users want to be, a better control of the device’s battery life by seeing how much battery uses the applications which use the location services. You’ll be able to select between three location profiles in order to have a better control over the device’s battery life (High-accuracy, Device Sensor, and Battery Saving). Verizon also said that the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update comes to solve the bug that was allowing the HTC One Max device Management to run during OTA download and in additional the firmware solves issues related with the Bluetooth Car Kit support for 2012 BMW X5, notification light for pending messages, Verizon app directed SMS and other.

The update should be downloaded and installed by using a stable Wi-Fi connection because the file is quite big, 500 MB.

Unfortunately, the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One Max device comes with the same version (v2.0.0) of Verizon Cloud, Verizon Location Agent, Suport and Protect applications.
