HTC One Max

Verizon started to rollout the Android 4.4.2 with HTC Sense 6.0 UI update to its HTC One Max devices. If you own this smartphone check your notification panel and see if the new OTA firmware upgrade is available for you to download it.

Since the new software is still Android version 4.4.2 the new firmware does not bring significant changes to HTC One Max devices, but the HTC Sense 6.0 UI and some optimizations and tweaks for an improved KitKat experience. Besides HTC Sense 6.0 UI you will notice a new camera UI, tweaks Blinkfeed elements, new music applications, Home Screen improvements, enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity, improved Gallery app, added HTC Sense TV feature, bug fixes and more.

The new firmware update will change your previous number to 3.09.605.2.

As usual the new Android 4.4.2 that adds HTC Sense 6.0 UI is rolled out via OTA in stages, meaning that not all Verizon HTC One Max users will get it right away, but once your device is ready to receive it you will be prompted by the system with a notification to download and install it. All you need to do is tap on that notification, choose download, and your system will take care of the entire process.

Additionally, you can check manually under Settings-> About -> Software Update and see if a new Android 4.4.2 files are available for your HTC One Max handset.

The 3.09.605.2 firmware update is rolled out only for HTC One Max running stock OS, so if you run a custom ROM it will not be available for you.

The new Android 4.4.2 update is around 600 MB in size, so it is recommended for you to use a stable Wi-Fi connection and also to charge your device’s battery completely in order to avoid unwanted installation issues.
