Moto G

A few weeks ago, Motorola started to push out the latest Android update available namely Android 4.4.4 KitKat to its range of Moto devices and now after upgrading the German and French Moto G models, even the UK users are getting Android 4.4.4 on their Moto G devices.

The Android 4.4.4 update has been released for Moto G users on the Vodafone network and seems that owners of the Motorola Moto G devices on other wireless carriers in the UK will have to wait a little longer before the OTA update is available for download and install on their handsets.

The new firmware update will bring Moto G devices to version number 210.12.40 and will update Phone dialer application, bring the ability to pause video recording, enables Motorola Alert application download, includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, stability, and security fixes (including update to OpenSSL), as well as new features, enhancements and bug fixes.

Even the latest version of Moto G, the LTE, it seems that is going to the latest version of Android, solving the compatibility issues experienced by some users with cards microSD from Class 10.

So, if you are a Moto G user, you should receive any time now, an OTA system notification for you to update your device to the newest version of Android. Once you received the OTA notification, tap on it, select download, and when the download process is completed, select “Install now,” after the installation is finished your device will re-start automatically, and it will be updated with the firmware version 210.12.40.

In the case when the system fails to prompt you, check manually for available updates by going to Settings->About phone->System updates->Download.

For a successful installation, it is recommended for you to charge your Moto G battery completely and to use a stable Wi-Fi connection.
