Great day for all Google Nexus devices owners who want the latest official CM firmware, the CyanogenMod team has just released the first CM11 KitKat Nightly builds. The latest release comes for all Google Nexus devices including here the Galaxy Nexus and the new Nexus 4,5,7 and 10 devices.
The new firmware CM 11 KitKat Nightlies are based on the AOSP Android 4.4 KitKat. Note: the CyanogenMod team reports that they won’t offer any new support for the existent few bugs on the stock Android 4.4 KitKat firmware and all issues that might appear will be related to all the next and new CyanogenMod based stuff the CM team are adding with each CyanogenMod 11 build released.
The CM team has launched the CM 11 Nightly build only for Google Nexus smartphones and tablets while all the other devices that are not Nexus will receive this release soon.
If you’re an owner for a Nexus device and you do decide to download and update it with these CM11 official Nightlies then you need to know that, for doing this action, you’ll need to have installed the latest version of the CMW or TWRP custom recovery images.

The latest CM 11 Nightlies custom ROM comes with support for seven different devices:
Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Samsung Galaxy Nexus for smartphones and for tablets we can find the 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7 and 10 devices.

Note: All these builds are based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS, but beginning with next week, the CM team will integrate the new Android 4.4.1 firmware build with these firmware.
