Firmware 17.1.2.A.0.314 for Xperia Z2 Tablet Receives PTCRB Certification

Recently we have seen the firmware build 17.1.2.A.0.314 rollout for the Xperia Z2 devices with model number D6503 that brought improved touch performance, stability improvements and charging when the battery is low.

Owners of the Sony Xperia Z2 LTE Tablet bearing model number SGP521 out there might soon get a new software update on their tablets since PTCRB has just certified the same firmware build version 17.1.2.A.0.314 for this devices, according to xperiablog.
The new firmware is however based on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, the same as the 17.1.1.A.0.402 iteration currently loaded on the Xperia Z2 LTE SGP521 is.

The certification obtained from PTCRB indicates the fact that it could not spend much time between now and the official release via OTA, so keep an eye on the notification area of your tablet because as soon as your device is eligible to receive an update to a new firmware version you will receive a notification message from the system. Additionally, you can check from time to time if an update is available by going to Settings -> About tablet -> Software updates -> System updates.

Remember that when you download and install a new software version on your device, check if the battery is fully charged and use a stable Wifi connection.
