AOKP

AOKP team has merged and started to distribute the first Nightly ROM based on Android 4.4.4 for various Android-based devices..

The best news, however, concerns the support for new devices that for the first time become part of the AOKP team, among these we find the Nexus 7 (2013) LTE version, the international version of Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (GT-I9195) and the Oppo Find 7a.

More Android devices will receive support soon, and if you are enthusiast of custom ROMs then this is the mode to get the newest Android version without waiting the stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA update to be pushed from your carrier to your device.

With the new builds all the AOKP users will receive in addition to many bug fixes, new auto immersive mode, option to disable full screen keyboard, new lock screen rotates option and other small changes, and the novelty of the moment, the fluctuating Heads Up notifications.

If you want to install one of the Nightlies builds on your Nexus 7 2013 LTE, OPPO Find7a or Galaxy S4 Mini LTE then you can visit AOKP web page and download the latest zip.

Apply a Custom Recovery to Flash the new AOKP Nightly build on your Android device but before that as you know you need to download the Gapps zip file for Android 4.4.X ROMs.

Find out more information about AOKP and their work on their blog webpage an get the new AOKP 4.4.4 Nightly builds from the Devices section of their website and the Google Apps for Android 4.4.x custom ROMs from here.

Remember that they are still nightly builds, and the operation may be compromised by the presence of some bugs and instability still to be resolved.
