Android 4.4 KitKat for Samsung devices

Today, an internally trusted insider has sent to Sammobile website a picture that shows an internal document for Samsung’s KNOX where it is revealed that the Samsung company plans to release latest Android 4.4 KitKat update for some of its phones.

Knox Reports for supported devices

The leaked document mentions that the two devices Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S4 mini will be launched with KNOX pre-installed once the new Android 4.4 KitKat will be updated for the specified devices.  The document doesn’t tell us which version of Galaxy Mega (Mega 5.8 or Mega 6.3) will receive the new firmware, and we assume that the both models will get it.

There, the image doesn’t show devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S4 t receive Android 4.4 version, but we’re thinking that if mid-range devices are planned to obtain the update then the High-End flagship device will receive it, as well.  In additional, no official words regarding of  future plans for the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and Note 2 to receive Android 4.4 KitKat firmware, but there are high chance Samsung will push out the new version of OS for its important devices in 2014.

According to the same source, the KNOX will come pre-installed on all scheduled devices after their upcoming a particular updates. Moreover, the Chinese versions will have only the KNOX installed pre-installed, and it will let the users select whether or not to download the suitable files required for a full installation.
