Google Docs for Android

Google is very impressive when it comes to online services. We know that Google has a team of highly capable engineers on online services and software. Google announced a few days ago three new applications that can work offline and will serve as the Office suite.

While some people are skeptical, saying that the tablets or smartphones can not replace a computer when it comes to productivity, things started to improve and large companies are starting to take more seriously this segment.

The latest move in this sector of the market belongs to Google, the company announced three new software products for the use of Google Docs service.

In the first phase, we speak of two Android applications for editing documents – Docs and tables – Sheets, and in a short time to have a dedicated solution for presentations – Slides. The access to all of them will be free, says Google.
Part of Google Drive storage service for over two years, Google Docs suite, could be used before with a browser or directly from the dedicated Drive app for Android. However now the service’s users can use the new Docs and Sheets applications for editing text documents and spreadsheets, presentations Slides product being just announced and will be available soon.

The two applications available now, Docs and Sheets, allow editing files already stored in Google Docs, can work offline, thus allowing local or editing without requiring a permanent connection to the Internet, and provides collaboration and communication facilities already known.
The new software still without new facilities equivalent to the module that was integrated into the Google Drive yet, but launching these products in the form of dedicated applications leads us to believe that Google intends to adopt a more sustained pace of development its Office suite for the mobile terminals.

Your device needs to run Android 4.0 or later.
