Early this week the Google Company has started to launch a new version of Google Drive application, called version 1.3.
The new iteration of Google Drive brings many features and enhancements, but some features have also deleted and now is required Docs or Sheets to be downloaded and installed for that.
The new Google Drive 1.3 can no longer giveyou possibility to edit documents and spreadsheets by itself, so the user should install Docs or Sheets. The app’s menu has been redesigned and rearranged for a better look. In addition, new buttons have been added to the application’s menu: Refresh item and New file. Also, there you can use automatically from Google Drive the Docs and Sheets.
As you can see this is not a big update, but it comes to make the application a bit better with a newly redesigned look.
If you did not receive the new Google Drive 1.3 version, then you can download the APK file from this post and to install it manually.
You should know that, for installing the application you need to enable Unknown sources before downloading and installing an application from Google Play Store. So go to the Settings -> Security menu and from there check the Unknown Source option.
Note that, after you download and install a new application, make sure that the Unknown sources is unchecked, because it represents a security risk for your device.
Download the Google Drive 1.3 APK from the next links 1, 2, 3.
We want thanks to Android Police for the APK download links and for the information.
