How to Install the TWRP Recovery on Moto G4 Plus that runs Android Nougat
1. Download from here on your computer the TWRP recovery file for your Moto G4 Plus device and then place it on the desktop.
2. Transfer the TWRP recovery file inside the ADB folder.
3. Switch off your Moto G4 Plus and then reboot bootloader mode on your device by pressing and holding the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time until the Droid Logo is displayed.
4. Connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable.
5. Go to the ADB folder from your computer and launch a command window by pressing and holding the Shift keyboard key and right clicking on any blank space.
6. Enter in the command window: ‘fatboot.exe flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-athene.img’.
7. Press Enter and wait until the custom recovery image is being flashed.
8. When done, remove the USB cable and reboot your device.
