The Taiwanese manufacturer, HTC, renews the offering of mid-range smartphone for the Asian market with Desire 616 the first HTC smartphone equipped with an octa-core MediaTek signed processor and HD screen of 5 inches. The smartphone has been launched in China in the course of the just ended weekend and is currently selling in China, North and South Asia and Russia.
The mobile is equipped with an octa-core processor MTK 6592 clocked at 1.4GHz, MP4-450 Mali GPU accompanying 1GB of RAM. It has a 5-inch IPS screen with HD display (720p resolution), internal storage of 4GB (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD slot), while the battery has a capacity of 2000 mAh, the device will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean( an Android 4.4 over-the-air update will be probably released by HTC) and has dual-SIM card slots.
Desire 616 runs on HTC Sense 5.5 UI, meaning that you can enjoy in-built features like Zoe and BlinkFeed.
The device also sports an 8-megapixel back camera and 2 megapixel front camera both able to record video at a maximum resolution up to 1080p.
The price of HTC Desire 616 varies depending on the market. To have a benchmark, the price charged in Singapore amounted to about $ 240.
