HTC began distributing a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat build for HTC One M7 (2013) in Canada, which brings the HTC Sense 6.0 interface, an improvement to the camera and better performance. This new update will take on the device’s users around 668 MB and is version 5.11.661.8.
Among the changes to the camera, we can notice a more interactive interface and a gallery aesthetically redesigned. However, the new update brings a number of new photo-editing functions. Regarding the performance of the software, we can mention that this build comes with Extreme Power Saving mode, which was first introduced by HTC, on the One M8 handset.
Also, BlinkFeed receives an update by offering more content via the favorite sources that we choose.
Regarding the US version we know from HTC’s software update information that most are now in “Certification” stage, the last step before the software will be rolled out.
The AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Unlocked and Developer editions of the HTC One M7 are all almost ready. T-Mobile is still in “Development” stage, but it should be just a matter of time before all receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat including Sense 6.0 update.
If you own an HTC One M7 device from TELUS, Rogers or Bell you can check to Settings ->About phone->Software Update and see if an upgrade is available. A notification will be sent on your One M7 device, as well.
