HTC One to get 4.3 Jelly Bean Update due next month

The HTC One smartphone has an impressive design and an outstanding User Interface, but on the software update part should be improved.

A recent tweet by Jason Mackenzie (HTC’s president of global sales), has confirmed that the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will be pushed out for the users of the HTC One from US and Canada, and this means HTC One will be skipping the 4.2.2 version of Jelly Bean OS which offers limited customer benefit. Also, the owners of HTC DroidDNA from Verizon carrier will also receive Android 4.3; this update is expected by the end of September.

In this tweet,  the president also said that the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release is close, but no words about how close it is, but users of the HTC One Google Play Edition already received the latest Android 4.3 update.

As you probably know that, the HTC One smartphone was released in February this year out of the box with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update has been released only for HTC ONE devices in Asia and Europe Markets, but the update has not been rolled out for all ONE devices across the globe.

For our readers who don’t know the HTC ONE technical specifications, the flagship comes with a full HD display measuring 4.7-inch with 468 ppi pixels density and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is a hugely important device pointing to change  all dynamics for HTC. The HTC ONE comes with improves in its principal areas, in camera quality with a new BSI camera that integrates optical image stabilization together with an UltraPixel technology. Its case is a premium metal unibody design.

The HTC One also is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz (up to 40 % more powerful than the Snapdragon S4 Pro) alongside 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 Graphics processor.  Also, the flagship smartphone comes with 32 GB and 64 GB storage without expandable storage options.

In terms of connectivity options, it brings with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, Infrared and Micro-USB, A-GPS, Glonass, LTE, HSPA (unspecified), UMTS, EDGE, GPRS features.

Moreover, together with its operating system HTC One runs the Sense UI atop Android 4.1 JB and some new features as Haptic feedback, Music ringtones (MP3), Polyphonic ringtones, Vibration, Flight mode, Silent mode, Speakerphone and more. HTC One has a 2,300 mAh battery capacity.

Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is expected to come with new devices this year. As numerous rumors have reported that HTC will launch HTC One Max (phablet), HTC Zara which is the black plastic version of the HTC One smartphone.
