Good news comes from the Taiwan-based phone maker that officially confirmed that the HTC One device will receive the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update with Sense 6.0 UI by the end of May.
The information comes from the HTC America President Jason Miller who tells us on the Twitter channel that the HTC One device will receive the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware with Sense 6.0 next month. Unfortunately, there isn’t an exact date about the release of the update, but we can say that the update will be available until end of the May.
The new Sense 6.0 is available for HTC One M8 device via Play Store as a specific application and now is nice to see that the developers at HTC are working to come with the HTC Sense 6.0 on older devices.
Android 4.4.2 will provide for HTC One device’s owners new features, enhancements and bug fixes together with the new Sense 6.0 UI that brings the Motion Launch gestures, which allow you to quickly wake up the device without pressing the power button. Moreover, if you double hit on the display the HTC device will wakes up, and if the user swipes left then the widgets panel will be launched, if the user will swipe right the BlinkFeed will be launched. To unlock the device you need swipe up and to turn on the voice dialing you need to swipe down.
In addition, to launch the camera app you need to hold the device in portrait mode and hit the volume buttons. The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat version for HTC One with Sense 6.0 will have some limited features than the same update for HTC One M7 device in terms of customization and applications.
As you can imagine that the new firmware update with Sense 6.0 for HTC One M7 will be pushed out in phases, that’s mean not all HTC One device’s users will be able to download and install the update in the same time.
