Install CyanogenMod via SMS by using SMS-Romer

SMS Romer

Even if it is not easy for all and the root along with the preliminary steps can be frustrating, the Custom ROM is one of the greatest delights offered to Android users. The CyanogenMod team had made a few months ago an application named Install CyanogenMod to automate all the necessary prerequisites to installing the ROM.
Sadly, it disappeared from the Play Store but is still available on the web and even made small since we can now find it in the XDA developers, to install CyanogenMod using SMS, this is SMS- Romer.

Install a new firmware is an operation that usually passes for a custom recovery, or to a tool, or to one of the many apps that promise to do everything in our place. Of course, we had never thought to avail ourselves of an SMS to install the CyanogenMod on our smartphones.
Very easy to use SMS- Romer will install CyanogenMod on your smartphone remotely by sending it to the command line via SMS from another device. Once it received the command line and activated, the device then download the ROM, reboot into Recovery mode and installs itself CyanogenMod.

You can find on XDA, the APK file, it supports both stable versions that nightlies and can even delete the Dalvik cache distance. It also supports the installation of Google Apps it will install after the ROM thing you should already know if you’ve ever tasted CyanogenMod.
For remote installation of CyanogenMod works, it will still have your phone Roote and the Recovery TWRP2 + installed on your device, given that the scripts that will be executed only work with this particular recovery.

Sumarising: unlock bootloader, install the TWRP, install SMS-Romer on your Android device, and from then on you can send a text message to tell to go to CM to flash a new version.
The most important thing is to be sure that your device is on the supported list of devices for Cyanogenmod build. This app won’t operate for you, if your device is not supported per the standard means of flashing the custom ROM. Check out the app from the XDA developers.
The feat is great and shows once again the extent of the possibilities offered by the Custom ROM.
