How To Install official Android 4.4.2 XXUENE2 KitKat Firmware on Galaxy Note 3 N9005

The new official Android XXIENE2 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware is now available for Galaxy Note 3 N9005 device users. This new stock ROM has been released by OTA; however, many users did not receive this. You can apply the new XXUENE2 Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat update on your Galaxy Note 3 through a manual step by step process using an ODIN application.

This new firmware is released for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device model number N9005.

The new feature has been updated to provide further stability and enhancement to  new OS.

Installing the new ROM, the user will have a stable and smooth Android OS on his Galaxy Note 3 device.

Unfortunately, this new firmware doesn’t come with new features, applications or tweaks because its purpose is to solve  bug fixing in the older existing phone.

This step by step guide is applicable for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device  having official Android Operating System. In case, the  smartphone isn’t rooted,  or locked devices or a custom ROM installed on it.

This step by step guide is fully compatible with all Samsung Galaxy Note 3 model number N9005 and it can be used for downgrading the device to a stock Android KitKat 4.4.2 firmware or to fix a soft bricked smartphone.

Installation of this new firmware will use ODIN application as it’s safe flashing software developed by Samsung.

It is to be noted that,  once the stock Android 4.4.2 firmware is flashed on your device,  the root access will be revoked.

Moreover, the new stock Android OS will reinstall the factor reset features, default restrictions, all in-built  applications and features on your smartphone.   Apart from that, it will be a good idea to have your tablet fully charged as if the process is suddenly stopped; it may harm your device.

Keep in mind that, even if this is a safe method after you flashed the new XXUENE2 Android 4.4.2 KitKat the Galaxy Note 3 device might get stuck or to enter into a boot loop, in that case, a hard reset is required.  So you need to take the prior backup of the phone Data. For getting a full backup of your data you need a compatible application from Google Play Store. Take the backup of as contact list, EFS Folder, Internet settings, market applications, call logs history and other different type of files.

In addition, you need a Windows OS PC. On the PC all security software such as antivirus, antimalware, firewall or antimalware will have to be temporarily deactivated. After that, you need to enable the USB debugging mode option from “Menu >Settings >Developer options”.

This new official Android 4.4.2 XXUENE2 KitKat firmware is fully compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 model number N9005,  and other users should not use this method.

 How to Install official Android 4.4.2 XXUENE2 KitKat Firmware on Galaxy Note 3 N9005

  1. Download the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat XXUENE2 firmware from here and save it on desktop.
  2. Download Odin and Samsung KIES, and save the files on your desktop.
  3. Unzip Odin application and install it on your PC.
  4. Ensure that you’ll install suitable Galaxy Note 3 USB driver by using the downloaded Samsung KIES application.
  5. Now, unzip the software pack, copy it on the same folder, ODIN application.
  6. Open Odin application on your PC.
  7. Turn off your Note 3 phablet.
  8. Boot it into Download Mode.
  9. To do this, press the Power button, volume down and home buttons simultaneously until the Download Mode Menu is displayed.
  10. Next, connect the Note 3 device with your PC using the USB cable.
  11. Wait ODIN to recognize the device and to display the “Added” message and the ID: COM section will show either yellow or blue color. In the latter case,  you need to close the ODIN, disconnect the device, and repeat all steps from the start.
  12. From ODIN press “PA” option,  select the Android 4.4.2 file from your computer.
  13. Click on START button from ODIN in order to begin the installation process.
  14. Now, wait until the ODIN application flashes the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat XXUENE2 firmware.
  15. If the process goes well,  ODIN app will display the “PASS” message and the ID: COM section will be collared in green.
  16. Disconnect the USB cord and reboot your device.

 Troubleshooting:

  • If the device enters into boot loop you need to follow the steps as given below
  1. Boot the device on Recovery Mode.
  2. From the Recovery Mode, select “Wipe data/ Factory reset” followed by “wipe cache partition”.
  3. Return on the main menu of Recovery Mode, select “reboot system now”.
  •  If the ODIN doesn’t successfully flash the firmware file you need to:
  • Close the ODIN app and restart the device.
  • Reinstall the Note 3 USB drivers.
  • Repeat all steps Following this you will be able to successfully update your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device with official Android 4.4.2 KitKat XXUENE2 firmware.
