Once you start using new CM 10.2 on Samsung Galaxy SI900 device on a daily basis, no issues will arise to bother you.
Prerequisites:
- This step by step guide is provided only for Samsung Galaxy S I9000 model. Do not flash this ROM zip on any other device, as it will end up breaking it.
- The Samsung Galaxy S device has to be rooted and it also needs to run the latest CWM Recovery Image. (The TWRP Recovery should work with this step by step instructional guide. You should also apply the corresponding CWM Recovery instructions in order to experience complete success during the installation process).
- A Factory Reset operation is required to be applied if you want to boot your Galaxy S device into normal mode with CM 10.2 firmware after the flashing process.
- Keep in mind that the factory reset deletes all your data from installed applications and also the factory reset doesn’t delete the content from internal or external storage.
- In the present tutorial you’ll find an NANDROID ROM backup step. You need to do this step in order to be sure that you have a complete backup of your actual ROM.
- Backup all market applications by using the Helium tool from here. Also, be sure that you backup all your SMS and MMS, APN Settings, Call Logs History, Sync Contacts info with your Gmail account, and all your data stored into device’ internal memory.
- From the Developer Options enable the USB Debugging Mode.
- Ensure that the device’ battery power left status is more than 60% charge, before the Galaxy S device switches off.
