Great news for all Verizon Moto X owners, the Android 4.4 KitKat is now pushed out. The Verizon is the first mobile carrier to rolling out the update.

The new Android 4.4 KitKat update wasn’t rolled out for Google Nexus 4, but Verizon decided to start it for Moto X devices starting with today.

According to the Motorola’s official blog, the latest firmware update named Android 4.4 KitKat will be pushed out by Over-The-Air (OTA), and it will come with an improved phone dialer, with this new feature you can search contacts directly from the dial-pad and in additional you can tap on those you contact fervently.

Moreover, the new release comes with more gallery goodies, new gallery effects such as Posterize, Highlights, and Edge. Also, users can now use the Draw feature to annotate their photos freehand with their fingers.

The new update brings new Hangouts application; the main idea of this powerful application is that to have all your conversation in one place, conversations such as text, video, calls, and other chats. In additional, with you can now use Hangouts app to send animated gifts and also to share your location.

Additionally, the new Android 4.4 KitKat integrated Color Emoji. With this feature you can use the new colorful characters included into Google Keyboard to send in text messages and other type of communications.

With this new firmware update, also you’ll receive drag to focus and expose feature, a restyled status and navigation bars, new full-screen mode and improvements to Motorola features such as Touchless Control and other bug fixes.

The new Android 4.4 KitKat update for Motorola X device will be available for download and install starting with today, and probably it will be released in stages, which means not all Verizon Moto X users will be able to update this new OS right away.
