Official Android 5.0.2-based CyanogenMod 12 Nightlies Now Available To Download

As Google introduced new Android 5.0 Lollipop version a large number of features were released to help Android’s users add new customizations for their devices in a user-friendly way.

The newest iteration of Android is now available for some selected devices via Over-the-Air updates. As you probably think that, the Cyanogenmod’s team has been working to make available for download the first builds based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware.

All users who have been expecting this new release should be happy to see that a new set of CyanogenMod custom ROM nightlies are now available for download for more than 31 devices, and other handsets will be integrated on the supported soon.

The stable CM 11 ROM based on KitKat release will be further updated on the official CM website until it reaches version M13, when the development will no longer continue.

This newest release are not perfect and stable version and there some issues or bugs might appear, but the main features and functions should work properly right with version for specified devices.

As you can expect that the new release will come with all great features found on CM 11, but not just now as if there existing some bugs and incompatibility issues they need to work for fixing them.

Once the new Cyanogenmod 12 ROM is installed on your device you should see its new features such as theme engine, quick settings customization, sound panel customization, ambient display revamped SMS application and more.

As I said before, the new Android 5.0.2-based CM 12 nightlies is available for more than 30 devices, the full list with supported devices is here.

All devices specified in the supported list are shipping with full hardware support for some essentials hardware’s functions such as: calls, BT, GPS, Camera, GPS  and more.

Please note that this present CM 12 Custom nightlies ROM is an Android 5.0.1 Lollipop-based release and you can flash it directly from CM11(M12) or CM11 nightlies without wipe your system. Keep in mind that once the newest CM 12 nightlies is successfully installed you cannot downgrade back to CM11 without wiping the system. Our advice is to get a full backup of your actual running ROM before starting the installation process.
