How to restart your Android phone into safe mode

Most people are well versed about the safe mode when it comes to computers. Because it’s a powerful options when it comes to troubleshooting software problems on your computer. But rarerely people are familiar with safe mode in Smartphone? This is also a powerful way to fix issues or for troubleshooting. Most of us unaware about the feature but it does exist, and quite easy to use: Here’s how to restart your Android phone into safe mode.

  1. Press and hold power button of your Smartphone for a few seconds till Android prompts you to turn off your phone, just as you would normally do to power it down.
  2. Now, press and hold Power off for a few seconds.
  3. Now there will be a pop up message that if you want open your phone in safe mode.
  4. Tap OK, and your phone will restart into safe mode.

In safe mode, you would not be able use the downloaded apps on your Smartphone. Also a Safe mode badge will be displayed on the left corner of the screen of your phone. You may find the safe mode useful if you’re trying to determine whether an issue you’re having with your phone is due to an app you’ve installed, or due to Android itself.

However there will not be any use of safe mode if want to disable third party apps like drop box or any third party app.

When you have done your task, you can go to normal mode by again pressing the power button. Wait for the message to power off your device.

Then press and hold power off button till your phone display the message if you want to go in to normal mode.

Press OK and you phone will be again in normal mode and all downloaded apps will be there to use like in the normal way as they were earlier.
