Good news for Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos devices’ users, the new official Android 4.2.2 OTA Update is now available for their device in over 13 new countries across the world.
As we know that the new firmware release was pushed out until now only for Samsung Galaxy Duos Grand devices in Russia.
The new countries that are scheduled to receive the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update are Arabia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Turkey, Algeria, Kenya, Turkey, Switzerland and Hungary. The new release of official firmware will be push Over-The-Air (OTA) to the Galaxy Grand duos devices, users should check only the automatically OTA notification from their devices. If you won’t receive an automatically OTA notification but you are living in the specified countries, then you can check it to open Settings> Software Updates menu and from there check for the new updates available.
The Grand Duos device has been released in January 2012 and was launched with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS pre-installed. So, this new update is a significant release for it.
The new Android 4.2.2 will feature the Galaxy Grand Duo devices with new features, bug fixes and enhancements such as Quick Settings toggles for the smartphone’s notification bar, a better stable User Interface, new options and lockscreen widgets, new settings, new tweaks, Daydram and more.
For our readers who are out of the loop or want to bay now a Galaxy Grand Duos smartphone they should know it comes with a 5.0 inch display that support a 480*800 pixels resolution, also it is powered by a Dual-Core Cortex-A9 processor unit clocked at 1.2 GHz. If you want to download and install the new officially Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware files you should know that the pack measures around 490 MB, and it’s recommended to use a Wi-Fi connection in order to download the firmware pack file.
The new firmware file is pushed out by OTA, but also it can be installed by using the Samsung KIES software.
The new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is available for this moment in 14 countries but more other countries will receive this update soon.
