SonyXperia SP

Sony Xperia SP a fast, powerful and elegant mid-range handset launched last year in March with Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean on board and later updated to version 4.3 Jelly Bean is still under investigation for receiving Android 4.4 KitKat.

Now, however, the users will be happy to know that their Xperia SP smartphone has official CyanogenMod support, meaning that the owners of a Xperia SP will be able to enjoy CyanogenMod 11 and, therefore, the latest version of Android 4.4.3 on their smartphones, without waiting on Sony’s upgrades.

We are speaking about a CyanogenMod 11 nightly build, but given the fact that the release is still in the early stages of development; therefore, the firmware is not yet entirely stable, however most Xperia SP users that have tried the CM11 release report an almost perfect use of the device.

Go to CyanogenMod site if you want to try for yourself last nightly made for your Xperia SP, so that you can finally use the latest version of Android 4.4.3 KitKat and all the innovations introduced by Google in it. Below, you can watch a video of CyanogenMod 11 on the Xperia SP device in action.
Note that the update is, of course, not Sony’s official but Cyanogen and to install it you will need to use an unlocked device. For those who use this software, we must specify that should be also considered a copy of the ROM before doing this update.
