T-Mobile HTC One M7 receives Android 4.4.2 Update with Sense 6.0

As you probably you are waiting that the HTC One M7 device from T-Mobile receives today the new Android 4.4.2 update with Sense 6 UI. The information comes from the US carrier that has updated their HTC One support page.

The HTC One M7 is a great smartphone that is the predecessor of the HTC One M8 device that debuted with a new version of Android skin named Sense 6.0. The new HTC One M7 has been launched with Android 4.4.2 out of the box and now it is updated with Sense 6.0.

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update comes with white status bar icons, transparent status and nav bars, color emoji support, full screen album art when the device is locked and it can be opened directly from the lock screen, new Location Menu, and the major improvements in the new software version called Sense 6.0.

Moreover, the T-Mobile’s website mentioned that the new update, Android 4.4.2 KitKat for HTC One M7 device is called version 5.14.531.1.

As the majority of the OTA updates are released, this new update will be rolled out in phases, meaning that some of users not be able to download and install it in the same time.

Once the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is pushed out for your HTC One M7 device you should be available to download and install it from the device’s notification area.

After the system update notification shows you that the new update is available for download, the user should tap on this notification message and the download and the installation process will start immediately. If the automatically message won’t appear then you can manual check for it from the following path: Settings > About > Software update > Check for updates.

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update with the Sense 6.0 UI has a size of 695 MB and for downloading it is recommended to use a stable WiFi connection.
