This new update adds multiple enhancements such as a refreshed design and feel. There the Home, Activity and Discover are now available by swiping in Timelines.

Additionally, the new version of Twitter allows you to have an easier access to DMs, share photos in Direct Messages, receive Push Notifications from the users you care about most, and to select as favorite the people profile that you want to receive a Push Notification any time when they tweet.
The new Twitter application for Android version 5.0.5 in now available for download directly from Google Play Store. Remember that the application should be fully compatible with all devices which are running an Android OS 2.1 and up.
