This new firmware was built on April 9th this year and comes with a few improvements for your device beginning with the Google Now app, notification features, buttery smooth feature for the interface and other.
Before starting the step by step guide you need to follow some guidelines and a few prerequisites required to be applied before to flash the new firmware:
- This tutorial and all instructions listed on it are compatible and can be used only with Samsung Galaxy S Advance model no I9070. So do not try to use the same with other similar device, you can damage them.

How to flash stock Android 4.1.2 XXLQE Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070: Manually method
- Firstly you need to Download the XXLQE 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware for the region you wish to use:

> Download Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXLQE for Poland here.
> Download Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXLQE for Ukraine here. - Secondly, when the download is done, you have to extract the downloaded archive contents and save them on a single folder on the PC desktop.
- Now, download ODIN 3.07 from here. Extract its contents of the archive zip file.
- Next, Power off your Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 device.
- When the device is completed stopped boot it into Download Mode menu. To do that press and keep holding the next combination of buttons: Volume Down, Home and Power simultaneous, when the warning menu is displayed the press on the Volume UP button; this action will confirm you want to boot your device into Download Mode.
- Now, from the folder when you’ve extracted the ODIN app, launch the ODIN executable file.

- Browse and pick the I9070XXLQE firmware .tar.md5 file into PDA field in ODIN app.
- Make sure that the Re-partition option is disabled on the ODIN interface. Do not make any change in default settings of the ODIN app.
- Now, when you are ready to begin the updating process, click the ‘START’ button and let the ODIN app install the new firmware. This action can take a period of few minutes to install the new firmware successfully done.
- When the flashing process is done, the ODIN app will say the “PASS” message and your smartphone will take an automatically restart.
- No, your device should to boot for the first time into the normal mode.
- Disconnect your smartphone.
