Sony was started rolling Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Xperia Z1 globally after some countries got it last week. The software update is registered as variant 14.3.A.0.681 and in extension brings the newest version of Android to the Xperia Z1 flagship; it also brings within a few additional goodies.
One of them is the refreshed camera app, which should increase the shooting experience.
The camera’s software is additionally tuned, so look forward to taking better pictures.
As normal, there are bug fixes and enhancements in the performance and battery functions.
To find the update go to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates and verify if the update is available for your Xperia Z1 device.
To avoid data traffic is recommended to use a Wi-Fi connection.
