Lenovo, the Chinese giant recently stated that it will be pushing out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in the Indian market for six of its mid-range smartphones. The referred smartphones to receive Android 4.4.2 KitKat update are Lenovo S series devices: S650, S660, S820, S920, S930 and P780.
The Android 4.4.2 update will start to rollout over-the-air in stages later this week and until September all the users of the mentioned devices should enjoy the KitKat update on their handsets.
According to Sudhin Mathur, the Lenovo Director- Smartphone in India, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for this smartphones will have the same user interface like the Lenovo’s Vibe-series smartphones after upgraded to Android version 4.4.2 KitKat.
The smartphones will also receive Premium DOit apps, such as SECUREit, SHAREit, and SYNCit.
Moreover, the KitKat update will come with a new version of Lenovo power manager, security enhancements, improved application compatibility, enhanced voice search, Quickoffice word document app, colourful Emoji, quick access to settings, enhanced features such as more organized message grouping, Hangouts (sms, mms and voice messages in one place), wireless cloud printing, bug fixes, improved battery life and upgraded camera apps with more practical autofocus and white balance capacities.
Once your Lenovo smartphone will be ready to receive the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update you should receive a system update message, so keep an eye on your notification bar. In order to download and install the update you just need to tap on the notification message and follow the on-screen guidance.
