The Android 4.4.3 update for the Moto G devices adds three important improvements: the option to pause video recording, access to the Motorola Alert app and an updated Phone Dialler as stated in the official Android 4.4.3 changelog. The update also adds stability and security improvements and enhancements to the power profile capabilities, as said Motorola Mobile’s SVP of software engineering, Steve Horowitz.
Once your Moto G device becomes eligible for the new software updates, you will be notified automatically over-the-air, and you will receive a message in the notification area. So keep an eye on your handset.
You also have the option to manually check wirelessly for available updates under Settings->About phone->System updates.
If an update is available you just need to follow the instructions on your phone to download and install it.
Once updated, your Moto G will restart to complete the installation.
Note that the updates will not affect your data, contacts or applications.
Another option is to update using a USB connection with Motorola Device Manager. Once connected to your PC after installing the Motorola Device Manager, this will tell you if an update is available.
