Android 4.4.4 OTA Update now Available for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in Asia

The new KitKat OS version of Android 4.4.4 for Galaxy Note 10.1 is now available for download in South Korea and China. This new update is coming out for the Wi-Fi and 3G variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in South Korea and for China only for the LTE variant.

The new Android 4.4.4 KitKat update doesn’t comes with new major changes and features, and it comes with some new security patches and bug fixes. As we can imagine that this new update is the final KitKat build that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 device will get, as Google will release the brand new Android 5.0 L for their Nexus devices.

The new Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is released in phases, and that’s means it will not be available for all devices in the same time, but you need know that Samsung is planning to roll out this update for all Galaxy Note 10.1 devices before the end of the October.

It should be available starting today for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (SHW – M480W Wi-Fi model) and for SHW-M480K model of the same device in South Korea, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (LTE SHW –E320S) version in China.

As you can see the new update has been released in Asia and we can only hope that it will be released for the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 worldwide before end of this month.

The new Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA update will be pushed out such as an OTA update, it should be available on the device’s notification area and you should simply confirm the download and then your device will take care of the installation process.

If on the device’s notification area doesn’t appear any update, then you can verify the new update by using the KIES software installed on your computer.
