Chinese Variants Of Sony Xperia Z3 Certified By TENAA

Sony Xperia Z3

The upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 has received certification from TENAA; the Chinese equivalent of the FCC in China and many of its technical specs surfaced. TENAA certified the L55u for China Unicom and L55t for China Mobile that are similar, but with different network bands. The L55t from TENAA supports GSM/TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA network, while the L55u model supports Wideband CDMA and TD-LTE network.

The global Xperia Z3 is expected to be announced at IFA Berlin on early September, and its Chinese variants probably will be unveiled shortly after.

However, it seems that the Xperia Z3 will come with specifications similar with Xperia Z2 model.

The Sony Xperia Z3 comes with a 5.2″ Full HD IPS display, quad-core 2.5 GHz processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat on board out-of-the-box. The specifications sheet also includes 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, as well as Bluetooth, FM Radio, WiFi and GPS.

The handset will keep the Xperia Z2’s 20.7 MP primary camera while in front will have a 2 MP camera.

Although the TENAA specs don’t list the IP rating, just like the Xperia Z2 has IP58, we assume that Xperia Z3 will be water and dust resistant, and also it is possible that the company to improve the dust and water resistance with an IP68 rating  like we have seen in the Xperia M2 Aqua recently.

The Sony Xperia Z3 color options are white, black and amber, instead of purple.

Anyway, we will find out more details soon, since this device is expected to launch at Sony’s IFA event in Berlin on September 3rd, so stay tuned for more information.
