A new release of YouTube app is now available for download for owners of Android based devices, it is named YouTube version 5.0.21.
The new version it is hugely improved that its previous version 4.5.17, it comes with new features and improvements for its users, including a brand new card-based UI as our source reported.
Moreover, the new iteration brings for Android tablets and smartphones with various in-app multitasking capabilities such as the possibility to navigate the application while the chosen video is playing.
According to our source, when you swiping down, pressing the down arrow in the top left corner, or when you are pressing the Back button the currently playing video will turn into a small window on the bottom right. When you want to expand the small window you can easily drag it up or to dismiss by swiping sideways. The best part here is that when you start sliding sideways, the sound volume starts to fade.
Furthermore, the new YouTube app comes with new changes in terms of User Interface, it brings with redesigned slide-out navigation, with a quick access to history, playlist, uploads, favorites and watch later is positioned right in the slide-out menu.
In addition, the new version of YouTube for Android app provides the possibility to search for search for playlists, a brand new app icon, fully-functional landscape tablet UI, global auto-rotate setting, and a new update for TV Queue UI feature.
