Facebook launches Slingshot for Android to share moments with more friends at once

Slingshot for Android

Facebook launches a new messaging application for Android, called Slingshot with the aim of offering its users an alternative method for sharing photos and videos with friends.
Slingshot allows you to send pictures and small videos to a group of friends that can see it or hear it only if they give something in return.

In addition, Slingshot already dubbed “the Snapchat clone”, presents the most characteristic feature of this increasingly popular app: pictures or videos posted, in fact, can be viewed only once, and as soon as they are closed, practically it is not possible recover them because messages destroy themselves after being viewed. For those who do not know Snapchat is an application launched in September 2011 for iOS and Android and through this application you can send pictures, video and SMS that destroy themselves if the person who received such a message, raise the finger from the screen or try to save them.
In less than a year ago, Facebook has offered € 3 billion for Snapchat, but all they got was no for an answer.

Different than Snapchat, Slingshot enables users to “sling”(send), content to multiple friends at once. A push notification will arise when someone sends you something.

The creators of the application say that this self-destruct capability will encourage users to give more expressive and spontaneous content.

Slingshot is the second app created by Creative Labs division of Facebook, that a few months ago launched the Paper application that has had little success.
Download Slingshot for Android from Google Play Store and give it a shot.
This application is compatible with devices running Android 4.1 and newer.
